and lounge facilities on 23rd July. The bar will open at 7pm on Thursday

We will operate as a ‘Members Only’ bar but we will permit members to

online facility through our website.
There will be a member of staff at the front desk to take temperature
checks, ensure hand sanitising guidelines are adhered to and to ensure all
entering the premises sign in and provide phone numbers for contact tracing
We will be operating table service only. There will be limited capacity in
the bar and members can book in advance should they wish by contacting Alan Maher (01-8482641).
We hope to offer our members and guests a warm and friendly visit back to
their club in the safest and most comfortable surroundings we can provide,
and we look forward to seeing you in the near future.
The Management Committee
Message from the Chairman
Dear members and friends, I hope you and your families are well and staying safe and healthy during these unprecedented times.
As we approach the beginning of the roadmap to resuming games, we feel it is important to touch base and to set out the club’s current position on the reopening of our facilities.
We plan to resume activities this week with the adult men’s teams getting things moving. We intend to use this squad as a template for all teams going forward. A revised training schedule for all teams is been prepared and will be distributed in the coming days. The juvenile committee will meet this week to formulate plans and schedules for the relevant squads.
There are strict protocols in place from GAA headquarters which we must adhere to and we ask you to please bear with us as we get to grips with all the procedures we must follow. It may take a bit of time and may cause some initial confusion but we have to get it right for the health and safety of all our members and friends.
The management committee has used this down time to undertake some significant work in relation to setting out a roadmap for the future of the club and we are hoping to be able to present some exciting news on this front over the next couple of weeks.
As a result of the closure of the club and our facilities our finances have been depleted as we have no income source into the club. Therefore, as one of our responsibilities as a committee to manage the club’s finances, we are working in collaboration with our suppliers and our banking facilities.
The club is in not in financial peril by any means, but we do insist that as members come back to participate in the club it will be mandatory for them to immediately renew any outstanding memberships and or registration fees. It has always been club policy that memberships and or registrations must be paid, so as we get back to playing and using the clubs facilities the committee has agreed to take a zero tolerance policy that members cannot participate or train without first paying their outstanding fees for 2020. If you haven’t paid your membership and or registration fees please do so immediately.
While these have been testing times for us all, we’d ask you to hold firm and continue to listen to government and GAA guidelines as we begin to return to playing the games we love in the near future.
Yours in Sport ,
On behalf of the Executive of St Laurence O’Tooles GAA Club
