Dear Environmental Groups,

We have confirmed the date for our 2024 North Central Area City Neighbourhoods Awards Night – Thursday 12th September 2024. Further details to follow.

We hope to see as many of you as pssible entering the competition this year. It is a big year for the competition as it is the 20th Anniversary J.

The North Central Area looks amazing thanks to all of the wonderful work being done by Environmental Groups, Resident Associations, Tidy Towns Groups, Community Gardens & individual residents and we want to recognise and reward you for all you do.

Plenty of prizes up for grabs again this year.

Judging in the North Central Area will take place in June & the winners in each category will go forward to compete against the winners in the other 4 Dublin City Council Administrative Areas in July. We would absolutely love the overall City Winner to be from the North Central Area this year and we are here to support you in your endeavours.

The Dublin City Awards Night will take place in October- no date confirmed as of yet.

Keep your eyes peeled as applications for the Dublin City Neighbourhoods Competition will be available very soon.

Get your thinking caps on and start planning your applications now – don’t leave it until the last minute!!!!!!!

You will also be able to apply online via our citizen hub platform as you did last year.

We will keep you updated on the application release date and the theme for this years competition when we receive further information from head office.

Date for your diaries - Team Dublin Community Clean Up

Dear Environmental Group,

Team Dublin Community Clean Up has been confirmed for Saturday 27th April 2024.

We hope to see as many of you as possible out on the day making our wonderful North Central Area beautiful. We are excited and looking forward to visiting you all on the day to take photos and remember that everyone who takes part is automatically entered into the City Neighbourhoods Competition where you can win the Dublin Community Clean Up Day prize of €1000.

Well done to last years winner- Brookwood Rosemount Gracefield Residents Association.

The North Central Area Office are fully supportive of you and your amazing volunteers and can supply you with the following items to help you on the day:

Bags- Litter Bags / Compostable Bags
Brushes- Regular / Yard

Note: You must register with National Spring Clean for insurance to cover you to take part in Team Dublin Community Clean Up https://nationalspringclean.org/.
